Update the direct registration link on the node homepage
Check and update the content pages
Update the node’s workshop landing page
Check everything you updated is correct from their actual url to make sure all linking is correct
Check that student registrations for the next workshop have opened on the ticketing platform (Humantix). You will need the registration link to complete the next steps. If registrations aren't open yet, add a task to the tasklist to check again later.
Log onto the Squarespace and navigate to the page for your node under the Nodes section
Click “Edit” on the top left corner to edit the page
Make sure the dates for the next workshops are correct
Add the text “Sign up here” after the date of the next workshop. Put the text on the same line, not below.
Select the “Sign up here” text. Then click the link button in the editing options bar. This is the button that looks like three links of a chain.
Make sure URL is selected in the dropdown. In the text box, add the link to the student registration form for that event. Make sure ‘open link in new tab’ is selected.

8. To save your settings, press the enter key on your keyboard or click anywhere on the editing page.
The preview page should now have something like this:
Dates:
Term 1: 23rd March 2025
Term 2: 25th May 2025
Term 3: 17th August 2025 - you can now sign up here
9. Check over all the detail to ensure everything is correct, then press the save button at the top of the page to make those changes live.
Log onto the Squarespace and navigate to the Resources section in the sidebar.
Find the pages for the content your node will be running in the next term. Some workshops will have two sets of resources, one labelled as Replit version and one unlabeled. Make sure you are looking at the correct version for your workshop.
Click on the page for your workshop with a G in it to begin editing.
View the link attached to each of the content buttons (workbook, slides, etc.). Make sure they are linked to the correct page within the github.
The start of the link should be https://girls-programming-network.github.io/content, the remainder of the link should be the filepath as per the github repository.
To find the end part of the link, go to the github page and locate the pdf file you want to link. E.g. https://github.com/Girls-Programming-Network/content/blob/master/Scissors_Paper_Rock/Beginners/SPR%20G.pdf the end of the link for the squarespace is everything in this link after “master” (i.e. for this example it would be /Scissors_Paper_Rock/Beginners/SPR%20G.pdf)
7. If the content button is linked to the wrong page, click on the button in edit mode, then the edit link button. Update the link in the textbox.
8. Once you are sure that everything on the page you are editing is correct, you can press the save button at the top to make it live.
9. Repeat this for every page you will need in the workshop, including the tutor page if there is one or any other content pages necessary (like images or ascii etc.)
Log onto Squarespace and find your node’s workshop page (look for a section with your node’s name on it e.g.Sydney). The page should be called something like “Sydney Workshop”
Select the page in the sidebar and then press the edit button at the top to go into edit mode
Check the main image to make sure it is the correct one for the content you are running this term. To change it, click on the image, click the pencil icon (edit) -> replace -> select from library. The correct image should be named after the workshop title (e.g. cryptography.png) so you can search for it using that.
Select the correct image, then press add. Make sure you update the text below the image as well to match so the students know what they will be making that day.
Update the links for the start and end of day survey buttons to be the ones for the upcoming workshop. These are the sharing links for the survey form which should be in your node’s Google Drive.
Next make sure the door sign images are the correct ones for the current workshop.
First check that the door sign images aren’t already in the images library. Click on the image, click edit -> replace -> select from library. If they aren’t you will need to upload them.
To find the images for the door signs you should check the project folder in the Clean Drive and project folder in Github.
If they are in the Google Drive as a google doc, you will not be able to just export the images and save them to your own device. However, you can export the page as a webpage, then go to the generated zip file. Unzip the zip file, the images should be located in a sub-folder called images.
If they are images in a pdf, you will need to screenshot the images, just remember to zoom in as much as possible for a higher quality image.
Once you have all of your images you need to go back to the workshop landing page and update each one. As for the order, top left is beginners and it ascends to advanced on the bottom right. If the Start of Day slides have been created, the order of the door signs should be in the reverse order as the slides start with advanced and descend to beginners.
Once all images are correct, the formatting might have changed due to the size of the images so adjust the image size until all images seem equal and there are roughly three rooms per row. E.g. 6 rooms would be arranged as 2 rows of 3. 4 rooms would be arranged as 2 rows of 2.
Update the text on the buttons need to match the room names for the workshop. To do this, click on the button, then select edit, update the text field in the the Content tab.
Update the links on each image and button to be the corresponding content pages in squarespace. Ensure that link type is set to URL and “Open link in new tab” is selected as well.
The content page links all start with / then you can start searching for them (you need to search for the full name of the content page you need to link to i.e. /scissors-paper-rock-G… instead of /scissors G…) Make sure beginners rooms are linked to the G content, intermediate rooms are linked to the P content and advanced rooms are linked to the N content.
